                  2. Unsupervised Learning : learning from unlabeled data
                  In supervised learning, the model is trained on labeled data, and its performance is evaluated on unseen data. On the other hand, in unsupervised learning, the model is trained on unlabeled data and it learns the underlying structure of the data.

                  In reinforcement learning, the agent learns by interacting with the environment. It receives rewards or penalties based on its actions.


                  DENDRAL

                  DENDRAL (DENDRitic ALgorithm) was a pioneering expert system developed at Stanford University in the 1960s and 1970s. It was designed to assist chemists in interpreting mass spectrometry data, which is used to identify the chemical composition of a sample. DENDRAL used a combination of rule-based reasoning and machine learning techniques to analyze the data and generate hypotheses about the chemical structure of the sample.

                  One of the key innovations of DENDRAL was its use of "metalogic," a formal system for representing and manipulating uncertain information. The system was able to take into account the possible variations in the mass spectrometry data and generate a set of possible chemical structures that were consistent with the data.
